We have now added the capability to input a Cost of Goods Sold for items on in your Amazon Seller inventory. When SellerTools.co has knowledge of what your goods cost to acquire, we can then use this to calculate profit for you.

This feature is currently in infancy and will become more integrated throughout analysis in the future. For now, you have a way to specify how much the goods cost for all time on the COGS page within your account. There will be cases for many customers where the price of the goods will change over time, so look out for being able to specify a date range for orders where specifying different costs will become available.

One place you can expect to see these calculations used is within your account at the Analysis tab under "Top Revenue Items w/ Profit Analysis". This analysis shows revenue totals and profits for your best performing items for different time periods ranging from 24 hours to the last 365 days and all time.

Some of our customers are interested in seeing promotional discounts included in profit calculations. We are working on a solution for this. The promotion discounts are not readily available by the means currently used to pull data from Amazon, so we are searching for another way to obtain this data.

If you have any other requests or ideas, please send us an email at contact@sellertools.co and let us know your thoughts. Until then, Happy Selling!
